Data Integration and Interpretation

Interpretive reporting forms a large part of the site evaluation work scope and provides the stakeholder with critically important information; we interpret a range of data including geological, geophysical and geotechnical data using robust, accepted practices and industry standard software such as AutoCAD 3D, Kingdom, DELPH and gINT. A significant benefit to the quality of interpretation is our maintenance of a cross-disciplinary conversation throughout, allowing engineers to better understand the properties of the geoscientific dataset, and geoscientists to provide products which fit the needs of engineering practice.

We make use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), integrating work within other software packages to consolidate data and interpreted products into a single, coherent site model. Our experience in programming within the GIS environment enables the creation of bespoke queries, allowing interrogation of the database to provide high quality input to engineering decisions.

Our output is tailored to your needs; conventionally presented interpretive and factual reporting can be augmented with geo-statistical and geospatial products, GIS and graphical representations of the site. All our products are supported by a rigorous approach to the management of all important metadata.

At Cathie, we offer survey consultancy, data management, integration and interpretation and ground modelling to define site conditions, inform the engineering process and to quantify and mitigate risk as part of a holistic, cross-discipline approach.
