Duration: 4-6 months
We’re a global offshore geoscience and geotechnical engineering consultancy specialising in marine geophysics and geotechnics, foundation engineering, pipelines, trenching and numerical analyses. We work primarily in the offshore wind industry for clients who design, install and operate offshore facilities.
We are looking for two interns to join the team in our Brussels office to help us with our development of offshore wind pile drivability tools. If you are a MSc student, have a passion for geotechnical engineering, a strong mathematical profile and a good expertise in Python, we’d love to hear from you!
We have various subjects available, all aiming to improve prediction of large diameter piles driveability, including:
- use of field measurements to validate advanced soil models for soil response during driving
- use of non-linear, dynamic FE to model end bearing mechanisms
- calibration of pile shaft resistance models using back analysis of field data
We believe this opportunity will help to immerse our interns into the offshore wind industry, and its high technical profile. Our interns will have the opportunity to work alongside a passionate and highly-skilled team, in addition to being exposed to the art pile driving analysis methods.
To apply, candidates must be a national of an EEA country or a non-EEA national currently studying in Europe on a student visa.
