Cathie recently supported the completion of the final offshore geotechnical campaign for SouthCoast Wind. This campaign completed geotechnical investigations at all wind turbine locations in the lease area. The SouthCoast Wind project, led by developers Shell New Energies and Ocean Winds North America, is a proposed offshore wind farm in U.S. waters. It is located around 30 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard with a capacity of up to 2,400 MW.
Diane Baxter, U.S. Engineering Manager, fulfilled the role of Geotechnical Engineer for the final leg of the geotechnical campaign, providing survey support for CPT operations. Cathie is also providing data review and technical support for the onshore laboratory testing program.
Securing Cathie as your survey consultant enables significant added value to the early stages of offshore wind developments through real-time offshore engineering, review of data quality, safety performance management, cost control, conflict resolution and risk management, with layered support from industry-leading technical experts providing your project with further mitigation.
